Restoring Family Links Course at Glory Beach Resort, Port Dickson

Today, there was a course jointly organised by ICRC and MRC in Glory Beach Resort, Port Dickson. As a result, I have to wake up 5.30 a.m. in the morning. At 6.30 a.m., I was waiting at my friend's house, waiting for another friend to fetch us. Then we headed to our destination in his Kancil.

On our way to Port Dickson, there were lots of 'Optimus Prime' passing at our side at great speed. Then, we reached the resort at about 8 a.m. and at first we thought that we went to the wrong place cause we did not see anyone there that looks like attending the same course. At last, we managed to find the room for the course.

The course was conducted by two people. One of them from ICRC KL and the other one from MRC HQ. They were quite good and explain quite well. In fact, this is the first time I heard so much about Restoring Family Links (RFL - Soemone change it into Life Force Ranger and use it as their group name). I think this service is a quite important one as it allows family members to know about the condition of their members.

During the course, there were also some role play activity. I was with a Chinese girl from Seremban. (Haha. I am lucky, right?) What I had to do is to play a role of a P country citizen who wish to know the condition of my parents in P country which was strike by an earth-quake. I was there to ask RC help to locate my parents back in P country. Then, she played a role of a S country citizenwhere she wished to send a message to her parents in S country to know their condition as there is a war back there. However, the way she act is very funny and she misleads me to think that she is trying to locate her parents back there.

However, the funniest part is what happen on the pair of teachers sitting next to us (I know one of them is teacher, and I assume both of them are teachers). They came out with all sort of funny name when filling in the form, for example, Michael Jackson Obama, Genghis Khan, and something Sharukan ( What the hell is going on? Are they really teachers?) And the way they asked and answered make me and my partner keep laughing throughout the interview ( Nearly stomachache).

The course end at 5 p.m. and we were each awarded a certificate and a CD with lots of information as souvenir. Then, the four of us went to 芙蓉烧包城 to buy 烧包. After that, the driver brought us to a place at the road side of Seremban and have out dinner there. IT was very cheap where 4 of us only spent RM 62 for our dinner. And, the food there is quite nice.

I reached home at about 8p.m. and now I am updating my blog. And, now it is updated. ( If anyone want to see the picture, plase feel free to visit my facebook profile as I had uploaded the pictures there.)
